My pet portraits are generally done in oil on canvas, but pastels are also an option. Prices begin at $250 for one pet, in sizes from 8”x 8” to 11” x 14”. Some examples of charges for larger portrait sizes are: 16” x 20” for $488, 20” x 24” for $732. Prices are calculated by size, and then each additional pet adds 30% to the price.
If you have a pet photo that shows a favorite pose, or a much-loved facial expression that you want the portrait to feature, I can make the portrait from that. But if that special photo is out of focus, needs a different background, or otherwise does not provide all the information needed for the desired portrait, the owner and I can work together to overcome these challenges.
If you have interest in getting a portrait of your pet, let’s talk. I am committed to painting a pet portrait that delights you. If you are interested in learning more, contact me at Seyna@SeynaFred.com.

”TINY AND MICKY”. Tiny is the larger dog, very attached to the much smaller Mickey. Oil on canvas, 18” x 24”.

“BUDDY”. This sweet brown collie is from Western North Carolina. Oil on canvas. 10” x 14”.

“OLLY”. Olly is a young female Bulldog with a sweet temperament. Her owners chose a photo that clearly reflected that temperament. Oil on Canvas, 17” x 20” x 1.5”.

As this was my first commissioned portrait, and the client was out of state, I chose to do TWO portraits, one in Pastel chalk and one in Acrylic paint. They chose the acrylic because it needed no additional framing to hang on the wall. I no longer offer acrylic because I find a get a much better result with oil paint, and it too can be hung on t

“Best Pals”. Oil on canvas, 18” x 14”. The original photo had them on a couch of the same blue color. I chose to simplify, with permission, to focus attention on these two handsome friends.

“Gabe”. Oil on Canvas, 20” x 16” X 3/4”.
